The Dragon with his seven Heads

Rev 12:

3 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads.

4 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born.

Again: We want to consider this picture as an icon.

These heads are the seven angels of the fellowship of Lucifer. It means, that the dragon is active by these angels, who are crowned. But not only. He is able to bring harm to the stars with his tail.

We have seen already that Lucifer has no other function than being Satan, the accuser. Therefore his tail is nobody else than the false prophet. ( see forward.)

Of course, the seven heads are no sevenfold. This was different in Greece. The leopard had four heads. And they formed a fourfold.

The crowns on the heads mean, that the angels are ruling the nations. They have been enthroned by God, to bring their nations a cultural identity.

Besides those angels there are many others, because there are many other nations. The angel of Australia, or Japan, or China are not mentioned here, because there is no influence on Israel.

Satan is represented here by his seven angels. The ten horns are ten human rulers. They form a

10-nation-alliance. The special aim of this alliance is to kill the "Woman on the Beast".

"The tail of the dragon" throws 1/3 of the stars of the heaven onto the earth.

The "stars of the heaven" are the children of Israel, listed in the Book of Life. Satan is able to mislead many people of Israel. ( The false prophet does it. ) Then they loose their enlistment in the Book of Life, and they are now on earth like us, if we do not belong to Jesus.

"Satan wants to devour the Child": Satan is without any might. He is only the accuser. But it is possible for him, to engage the false prophet. This prophet gets the consent of the angel of Rome to make Herod Antipas kill Jesus.   This leads to the Massacre of the Innocents.
